Workout Week 9 - Lemons

Wednesday was my birthday. On Monday I decided to arrange things so that I could take the day off, free and clear to play with mosaics (and maybe catch up on some workouts I've missed,) go for a bike ride and perhaps squeeze in a pedicure before going to dinner with friends. Tuesday I was hit with a stomach bug -- wah wah -- so my Wednesday was spent on the couch, fielding birthday calls in a sleep deprived haze while trying not to move lest the cramping attack again. Needless to say, the day was wasn't all I had hoped. Though I'm mostly recovered (just in time to get back to work), I'm still annoyed and disappointed that my "me" day was ruined, but I'm trying to shake off the blahs. So I've decided to see my birthday convalescence as the epilogue to a difficult year past, as opposed to the prologue to my year ahead. It's more lemon soap than lemon meringue pie but still better than sitting around in a big pile of lemons.

As always, interpret as you wish - sometimes "throw them at someone" feels more appropriate than "make lemonade" and that's ok, at least you're doing something.
