Sonia King is an internationally known mosaic artist, instructor and author.
In Sonia's words:
"The goal of this class is to offer an elevated sense of what mosaic is all about, a new way of thinking about mosaic work and the knowledge to enable students to push their work to the next level. "
The class will specifically cover working with texture, scale, andamento and spacing; achieving effects through varied cutting and laying styles and/or mixed materials, working direct using cement-based adhesive. Technically there will be extensive inquiry into cutting techniques, use of varied materials, laying techniques and broadening students' skill set. Some prior mosaic experience is recommended.
