In this continuing study course in Tempered Glass Mosaics, pioneer of the tempered glass mosaic technique Ellen Blakeley guides students in the creation of a two or three- dimensional project of their choice.
Ellen will lecture on and demonstrate more advanced techniques in tempered glass including more sophisticated under designing, edging, more advanced grouting effects and dealing with three-dimensional and sculptural forms.
Students should bring their own form/ base to cover (Guidelines below), and have a design idea in mind for their project.
Tempered glass, design materials, pigments, grout and all other materials will be provided. Students are also encouraged to bring their own photos, design inspirations etc...
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to take their tempered glass mosaic skills to the next level and create more complex, professional looking work.
Students should bring a work shirt/ apron to class and a pair of snug fitting rubber gloves (heavy duty or dishwashing type).
