Pebble Mosaics are beautiful, green and accessible to beginning and continuing students alike.
In this three- session class, taught by mosaic artist Dmitry Grudsky, students will learn the ancient art of pebble mosaic by using a reverse method to construct a stepping stone out of cast cement, sand, and pebbles. Class will include a photo demonstration of pebble mosaics as well as information about various types of pebble mosaics and techniques used.
Students will learn specifics of creating a successful design for pebble mosaic and become familiar use of cement -based materials used in casting. Students may bring pebbles from home to use if they choose (optional).
Students will create and take home a 12"x12" pebble mosaic.
